Our read on the material, not a measurement.
What it smells like.
Cognac is alcoholic heat with dried fruit and a faint oaky sweetness underneath. It is sharper and drier than rum and it hits early, giving a fragrance an immediate warmth that citrus cannot.
It works over rich bases, where it reads as sophisticated rather than sweet. It is bold at the opening and fades to a warm hum, so it sets an unmistakable first impression.
