Damask rose is the richest of the rose materials: deep, jammy and honeyed, with a spiced warmth and much less green freshness than a garden rose. It is the rose behind most classic fragrances built on the flower.
It carries a heart on its own and pairs famously with oud, patchouli and clove. It is assertive and it does not share space easily with other big florals.
