Cypress.

What it smells like.

Cypress is a cool, dry, resinous green: needles and sap rather than timber. It smells like standing among trees rather than like wood in a workshop, and there is nothing sweet about it.

It gives a woody blend fresh air and it keeps citrus alive longer than it otherwise would be. It has a known failure: against sharp berry notes it turns sour, which is why the studio does not put it with blackcurrant.

In a blend.

Dry, green and cooling. Makes woods feel outdoors rather than indoors.

Woody. Warm, grounded scents built around woods, resins and depth.

Pairs beautifully with.

Handle with care.

ClashBlackcurrant fights cypress. Sharp fruit turns sour against green resin. The studio would reach for raspberry instead.
