Top note · Fruity
Strawberry.
Ripe, sun-warmed sweetness. The bright first impression that makes people lean in.
Our read on the material, not a measurement.
What it smells like.
Strawberry is soft, ripe and unmistakably sweet, with a jammy warmth rather than a tart edge. It is the note people recognise fastest and the one that most often makes someone say they like a fragrance before they can say why.
In a blend it is a hook. It makes an opening warm and inviting and it flatters powdery florals like violet and iris. The risk is sweetness on sweetness: put it over caramel or cotton candy and the result smells like a dessert rather than a perfume. Give it something dry underneath and it behaves.
In a blend.
The most immediately likeable note here, and the easiest to overdo. Strawberry reads young and sweet; with cotton candy or caramel it tips into confectionery.
Fruity. Playful, bright and full of energy.
