What it smells like.
Tuberose is enormous. It is a creamy, waxy white floral with a green, faintly rubbery bite and a warmth that keeps building on skin. There is a reason perfumers describe it as carnal: it is the least polite flower in the range.
If you pick it, build the blend around it. Sandalwood and vanilla give it something to sit on and take the edge off the greenness. What it will not do is share a heart. Tuberose with peony, violet or hedione is simply tuberose, and if you wanted a soft floral this is the note that will ruin that plan.
