Top note · Citrus
Blood Orange.
Sweet orange with a deep, berry-red edge.
Our read on the material, not a measurement.
What it smells like.
Blood orange is sweeter and deeper than a standard orange, with a berry-like richness behind the peel and less bitterness than bergamot. It reads as generous and slightly jammy rather than sharp.
It makes a warm, immediately appealing opening and it sits comfortably over sweet bases where a drier citrus would fight. Like all citrus it is gone quickly, so it sets the tone rather than carrying the fragrance.
In a blend.
Richer than ordinary orange. A warm, juicy opening.
Citrus. Bright peel and juice, sharp at the open and quick to lift.
Pairs beautifully with.

We do not offer blood orange at the bench, but there are notes close to it that we do.
