Brazilian Rosewood, the raw material

Base note · Woody

Brazilian Rosewood.

Warm, softly floral wood with a rosy sweetness.

How loudly it speaksBalanced

Our read on the material, not a measurement.

What it smells like.

Brazilian rosewood smells of warm timber with a distinct rosy, faintly spicy sweetness running through it. It is softer than cedarwood and less creamy than sandalwood, sitting somewhere between a wood and a floral.

It smooths a blend out and adds warmth without weight. Under florals it deepens them; over citrus it gives a fresh opening somewhere soft to land.

In a blend.

A wood that behaves a little like a flower. Smooth and warm.
