What it smells like.
Pomegranate is tart, crisp and a little astringent, with a juicy red-fruit sweetness underneath that never quite takes over. It reads as fresh and modern.
It gives an opening sparkle and it suits florals and light woods. Because it is more tart than sweet it works over bases where a sugary fruit would clash.
