What it smells like.

Olibanum is frankincense: a dry, resinous incense with a cool, faintly lemony brightness at the top and a smoky depth underneath. It smells still and slightly ceremonial.

It gives a blend gravity and an airy smokiness that is quite different from charred wood. It suits rose and oud and it makes gourmand sweetness feel less domestic.
